Ukrainian Maritime Prose Competition named after Yuri Lysyansky "MATELOT", submission of manuscripts until December 15, 2021

The purpose of the Competition is to properly cover the historical figure of the descendant of the noble Cossack family Yuri Lysyansky, a native of Ukrainian Nizhyn, the first navigator of the Russian Empire in the expedition on sloops "Hope" and "Neva" (1803-1806) led by Ivan Krufchenstern, oceanographer, ethnographer; stimulating the development of modern Ukrainian marine studies.

CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION 2021:

Language of works: Ukrainian.

Volume of works: From 10 thousand characters to 50 thousand characters.

Genre of works: Short stories, essays, short stories, artistic realistic prose works of genres unknown to us, the main thing - not just unprocessed entries in the watch magazine. Emphasis on the word artistic. Although reportage and travel notes can be.

Themes of works: The man in the sea, the man of the sea in all variety of possible situations.

However, each year of the competition has one special theme, which is quite simple to mention in the text, but you can make it the leading one for your work.

The title sponsors, the Kyiv yacht companies YotClub and YachtTravel have chosen a special topic:

WINDS AND SAILS. Past and future.

And the motto:

So this year the organizers of the Competition offer the organizers to talk about sailboats, yachts and the ability to catch the wind.

Location: The whole globe without restrictions - oceans, seas, bays, straits, bays, fjords, estuaries, greyhounds, erysipelas, skates, coasts, ports, estuaries, navigable rivers, lakes and more. Please refrain from alternative realities and worlds where the laws of physics and hydrometeorology do not apply, use the same globe that Lysyansky had.

Manuscript requirements: Word document. Signed with the author's name and contact e-mail. Name the file: The title of the work in Latin.
