Dear friends and colleagues!
It is a great honor for us to invite you to participate in the VI NATIONAL CONGRESS OF PHYSICAL AND REHABILITATION MEDICINE “10 Years of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine in Ukraine: Professional Development, Teamwork, Leadership and Responsibility for the Future”, which will be held on November 13-14, 2026 in Kyiv in a hybrid format (offline and online). This year’s Congress is of particular importance, as it summarizes the ten-year path of development and growth of physical and rehabilitation medicine in Ukraine. It is symbolic that the Congress traditionally takes place on World Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Day, uniting the professional community around common values, responsibility and vision for the future of the industry.
It is extremely important to hold a congress on physical and rehabilitation medicine, in the conditions of an ongoing full-scale war, when the need for high-quality, accessible and continuous rehabilitation care is extremely urgent.
Rehabilitation specialists are invited to participate in the congress: doctors of physical and rehabilitation medicine (PRM), interns of PRM, students of higher medical schools, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, speech therapists, nurses, assistants of physical therapists and occupational therapists); doctors involved in the provision of rehabilitation care: doctors - neurologists, orthopedic traumatologists, cardiologists, gerontologists, family doctors; all interested workers in the field of healthcare, social protection, inclusive education, representatives of civil society (expected number of participants up to 500 people)
The Congress program will combine plenary and sectional sessions, panel discussions, master classes and practical workshops, creating a space for scientific discussion, professional dialogue, exchange of clinical experience, presentation of modern scientific research and implementation of best practices in the field of physical and rehabilitation medicine.
Special attention in the program will be paid to issues of multiprofessional rehabilitation assistance to military personnel, veterans and civilians who suffered as a result of war, namely:
• rehabilitation of patients with combat craniocerebral trauma;
• rehabilitation of patients with spinal trauma;
• rehabilitation of patients with peripheral nervous system lesions;
• rehabilitation of patients with burns and their consequences;
• rehabilitation of patients with amputations, modern approaches to prosthetics and orthotics;
• rehabilitation of people with vision loss or impairment due to combat trauma;
• rehabilitation in communities at the present stage and in the post-war period
Separate scientific and practical sessions with the participation of leading Ukrainian and international experts will be devoted to modern approaches to rehabilitation in pediatrics, acute cerebral stroke, oncological and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pain management; psychological rehabilitation and preservation of mental health. A special place in the program will be occupied by issues of professional education and development of the human resources potential of specialists in the field of rehabilitation.
