Although the Chinese position traditionally reproduces the thesis of the need to observe the principles of the UN in international relations - the territorial integrity of countries, the inviolability of borders, non-interference in internal affairs, etc., nevertheless, China has never once stated in official documents, guided by the stated principles of the UN, that Crimea is Ukraine. In contrast to the USA and the countries of the Western world. Moreover, Chinese companies ("Jiangsu Hengtong HV Power System" and "Shanghai Foundation Engineering Group Co, Ltd.", together with the specialized cable-laying vessel JIAN JI 3001) helped Russia in 2015 to build an energy bridge under the Kerch Strait in the occupied Ukrainian Crimea, which Beijing has de facto indicated its position.
