India is an important component of the geopolitical picture of the world both at the regional and global level. In the long run, it is India that will balance China's influence and restrain its global expansion. Today, India occupies an important position in the formation of the policy of the international community, and especially of the West in matters of curbing Iran and Russia. India's special relations with Russia, primarily in the fields of arms and energy, are causing tension in its relations with the United States. However, it should be noted that India's refusal to join international energy sanctions did not start yesterday, and it did not start with Russia.
