Operational information from the regions of the Active Community network 30.03.2022

Ukraine in brief:

The 35th day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion.

The enemy continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. It suffered significant losses and probably temporarily gave up the task of blocking Kyiv. It regroups and focuses on offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone.

The enemy personnel is demoralized and have low motivation to take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. Thus, according to available information, the attempts of the russian military command to mobilize “volunteers” do not have the support of the population. In particular, only 17 so-called “volunteers” were recruited in the Kaliningrad region.

In the Volyn direction, the movement of enemy tactical units and changes in their composition was not recorded. Operational and combat training measures are underway in the Armed Forces of Belarus.

The movement of enemy troops along the state border of Ukraine with Belarus is noted in the Kyiv Oblast. At the same time, the occupation forces continue to accumulate in the area of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), the Shelter facility, and the Exclusion Zone in general. Thus, the movement of mixed columns of enemy vehicles from the settlement of Ivankiv in the direction of the Chornobyl NPP was recorded.

In the Brovary direction, there was a partial withdrawal of units from the area occupied by the occupiers towards the border with russia.

In the Chernihiv Oblast, the enemy focused its efforts on sabotage and reconnaissance activities, engineering equipment of positions, and artillery strikes on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and infrastructure facilities near the city Chernihiv.

The invaders continue to block Kharkiv and inflict artillery strikes on the city’s residential areas.

In the Izyum direction, the enemy increased its efforts by relocating individual units, continuing to launch missile and bomb strikes, and launching artillery shelling.

In Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, the enemy intensified fire and assault operations. Continues to strike air and missile strikes on settlements. The primary efforts are focused on taking control of the cities of Popasna, Rubizhne, and Mariupol.

In Mykolayiv Oblast, the enemy is trying to take measures to restore the combat effectiveness of its troops, replenish ammunition and fuel, and lubricants. It is trying to restrain the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units with artillery fire and airstrikes.

Yesterday, in the russian city of Belgorod, due to neglect of safety rules and violation of the requirements for the transportation of ammunition, its self-induced detonation took place. This situation is an example of russian service members’ typical mass use of obsolete, dangerous munitions, including during the Second World War. Only yesterday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of self-detonation of ammunition, a considerable number of which russia has set up in the area of the Chornobyl NPP. Russia must withdraw its troops from the Chornobyl zone immediately.

Northern oblasts

Russia does not give up trying to capture the capital. Sirens were repeated all night and morning. Several missiles were shot down over Kyiv today. After the shelling of Kyiv by the russian occupiers, hundreds of mines and unexploded ordnance remain in the city. According to government officials, it is now dangerous for Ukrainians to return to their homes. This can be done only with the consent of the authorities, the State Emergency Service, and the National Police.

Kyiv Oblast

Over the past 24hrs, more than 30 shellings by russian troops of housing estates and the social infrastructure of Kyiv Oblast have been recorded.

About 300 civilians and 50 servicemen were killed in Irpen. According to Mayor Oleksandr Markushin, the exact number of victims has not yet been determined, as people buried their loved ones right in the yards. The Russian occupiers brutally shot those they did not like, and crushed the dead locals with tanks.
Those who came out of the basements were undressed. The mayor also says that there are facts of abuse of women.
In addition, the Russian military divided men and women to then exchange them for prisoners.

The Makariv community in the Bucha District is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) but is constantly being shelled by russian troops. The enemy is moved by the Borodyanka and Gostomel communities. In Nemishayevskaya and Buchanska territorial communities, the occupiers entrenched themselves. There is no connection, and the infrastructure is destroyed.

Irpin was recently liberated from the Russians under constant shelling. Half of the city is destroyed, some blockages have not yet been dismantled. The number of dead is also unknown, as some were buried in yards and parks.

Slavutych is entirely isolated. The enemy is at the entrance to the city. Locals ensured the safe operation of the Chornobyl NPP. As a result, Chornobyl NPP personnel and their families are exhausted physically and psychologically. The Minister of Energy of Ukraine stated that the seizure of the Chornobyl NPP is an act of nuclear terrorism. The militarization of the Chornobyl NPP and its transformation into weapons and ammunition depots pose an unprecedented danger.
