Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as of 6pm:

The aggressor continues to launch missile strikes against military and civilian targets on Ukrainian territory.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, no signs of forming offensive groups of the enemy are observed. At the same time missile and air strikes might be launched from the territory of the republic of belarus. According to the data available, the armed forces of this country are checking control and alert raid systems.

Towards Siversk, the enemy continues to provide enhanced guidance of the section of the Ukrainian-russian border. In addition, the enemy shelled our positions near the village of Mkhy and carried out an airstrike near Esmani.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy defends previously captured positions. The settlements of Bazalivka, Dementiivka, Kutuzivka, Nove, Protopopivka, Pryshyb, Ruski Tyshky, Shevelivka, Tsyrkuny and Udy were shelled from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. There were assault actions near Sosnivka that failed, the enemy withdrew. An airstrike hit Kharkiv.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position of its units. Artillery shelling was recorded near Adamivka, Dibrovne, and Dolyna. Our soldiers successfully repelled enemy assault actions in the area of Krasnopillia.

Towards Donetsk, main efforts of the enemy are focused on establishing control of the Bakhmut-Lysychansk road and trying to seize the settlement of Bilohorivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, civilian infrastructure was shelled in the areas of Kryva Luka and Serebrianka. The enemy launched a missile and air strike near Siversk. Fighting continues in the area of Bilohorivka.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy shelled Kodema, Novoselivka, Pokrovske, Zaitseve, and Zalizne with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.

Supported with artillery and tactical aviation, the invaders conducted assault operations in the areas of Spirne and Vershyna. Fighting continues.

Artillery shelling along the contact line continues towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia. The enemy launched airstrikes on the positions of the Defense Forces in the area of Avdiivka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy continuously shelled the civilian and military infrastructure with barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Bereznehuvate, Chervona Dolyna, Dobrianka, Ivanivka, Kyselivka, Myrne, Osokorivka, Partizanske, and Potemkine. Key infrastructure of the region is still under the threat of missile strikes.

Our units continue to successfully perform rocket and artillery tasks in certain directions. It is increasingly difficult for the enemy to replenish units suffering losses as a result of warfare. 

In wartime, conscripts and military persons planning to travel outside their districts and regions must take permits from territorial recruitment centers. This was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. The relevant documents regulating the procedure for granting such permit have already been published. 

Ukrainian volunteers have created a base of russian propagandists and public figures supporting a full-scale war against Ukraine or spreading anti-Ukrainian narratives. Currently, the base includes 1 800 people and consists of media representatives, actors, bloggers, scientists, government members, deputies, etc.  

A Ukrainian woman has become the second woman in history to receive a prestigious mathematics award. Maryna Viazovska, born in Kyiv and is a graduate of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, received the Fields Medal. This award is given every four years and is similar to the Nobel Prize in Mathematics.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an enemy assault on Kharkiv oblast toward Kozacha Lopan and Sosnivka.The invaders mined near Tsyrkuny and struck Petrivka with their aircraft. The enemy shelled Dementiivka, Kutuzivka, Mala Danylivka, Nove and Ruski Tyshky settlements.

The invaders shelled Ukrainian positions near Izium and tried to conduct an offensive toward Dolyna village.

Russian troops shelled Korobochkyne village, Chuhuiv district and Vidrodzhenivske village, Zolochiv community with artillery. Almost once a day, russian troops shelled settlements of Malynivka community.

According to the Kharkiv prosecutor’s office, a 1-year and 11-month-old child and a 64-year-old man were injured as a result of russian shelling in Pechenihy settlement, Chuhuiv district. Residential buildings were also damaged.

In Kharkiv, 2 missiles struck the houses of the Kharkiv lyceum and technical school in Saltivka. The transition from the school building to the workshops and the entire car park of the institution were badly damaged.

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Kharkivoblenerho JSC specialists restored power to about 1 100 households in Barvinkove and Derhachi cities, Myronivka, Pechenihy, Velyka Babka and Vilkhivka settlements.

Donetsk oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine prevent the enemy from attempting an offensive on Sloviansk. An assault on Dovhenke and Mazanivka villages continues. The enemy also struck Bohorodychne and Dibrivne districts with aircraft. In the direction of Dolyna village, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled an assault of the enemy concentrating their main efforts on taking control of Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway.

Sloviansk’s central market was shelled by russian troops. As a result, a fire broke out. Other parts of the city were also shelled. According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Kyrylenko, 2 people were killed, 7 injured.

According to Mariupol city councillor Petro Andriushchenko, russian invaders in Mariupol dismantled a children’s playground in a square near the Drama Theatre. It was taken to Donetsk, where it is already being mounted in the centre. He added that the invaders in Mariupol are removing granite tiles with excavators, loading them and taking them towards Donetsk.

According to the head of Kramatorsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, russian troops launched a rocket attack on Kramatorsk. There were no casualties.

Luhansk oblast

According to the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, the russian troops are trying to establish control over the territory of Luhansk oblast within its administrative borders. Heavy fighting is ongoing on the outskirts of Luhansk oblast near Lysychansk. The enemy is trying to build crossings to gather more equipment.

In Bilohorivka, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy’s assault. The invaders withdrew.

According to the imam of Luhansk Muslim community, Tymur Beridze, russian invaders destroyed Bismillia Islamic cultural centre, Sieverodonetsk. 20 people were killed in the city as they were drawing water at the time of the shelling.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Military units continue to maintain combat duty at fortified defensive lines of Kyiv. The Kyiv city administration assures citizens that the city is strongly guarded. The servicemen that are currently not on guard duty undergo daily exercises and combat training.

Pablo Gan Quesada, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to the Spanish Embassy in Ukraine, and Javier Fuentes Lech, advisor at the Embassy of Spain, were welcomed at the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. They were discussing the assistance in rebuilding Ukraine and Kyiv oblast in particular.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration arranged for cooperation with Project HOPE, an international nongovernmental organization. At the moment, the Project HOPE is involved in the reconstruction of medical facilities in Irpin and Bucha. The support will be extended to social infrastructure in Borodianka, Zahaltsi and Dmytrivka.

In Kyiv, the defense headquarters is operating on a 24/7 basis. The thorough inspections of citizens at the entrance to the capital are a necessary safety measure, said Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Another 11 kindergartens resumed their work in Kyiv oblast. Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed that currently, a total of 97 kindergartens are working full-time in the oblast and are attended by 3400 children. More than 13K children are studying remotely, and almost 700 of them are from internally displaced families.

Zhytomyr oblast

Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 97,697 internally displaced persons have been issued certificates in Zhytomyr oblast.

People were permitted to visit forests on the territory of Zhytomyr oblast to collect berries, mushrooms and medicinal herbs. This applies to all forests, except those that are within 20 km of the Ukrainian state border with Belarus.

A TV host and volunteer Serhii Prytula paid an unofficial visit to Zhytomyr. He met with local volunteers, shared the experience of his own foundation, and observed the work of the Zhytomyr Volunteer Headquarters.

The regional center Sonyachnyi Dim (“Sunny House”) received humanitarian aid from Ukrainian benefactors. The center deals with children who were left without parental care. The facility received household appliances, canteen equipment, bathroom fixtures, stationery, and educational games.

Sumy oblast

The SBGS reports that the russian army continues to bombard Sumy oblast. The enemy inflicted fire damage using helicopters, UAVs, SPHs, mortars, anti-aircraft guns.

Unguided rockets were launched from russian helicopters on the territories of Bilopillia and Esman communities. The civilian infrastructure of the border settlement was damaged.

Bilopillia, Esman, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda, Shalygine, Shostka and Yunakivka communities were under enemy fire. According to the head of Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi, the power grid, water tower and farming facilities were damaged. At least two people were injured.

Sumy RMA reports that four people were injured due to a rocket attack on a school in the Esman community. The medical aid is rendered to the injured.

The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports on the consequences of shelling in the city of Shostka – at least 24 high-rise buildings, more than 100 apartments, as well as cars were damaged. According to the Sumy RMA, one person was injured.

The Sumy RMA reports that employees and wards of the Atynske psychoneurological health centre have been evacuated and are safe. The victims receive qualified medical assistance.

The Department of the State Migration Service reported that territorial subdivisions of administrative services do not provide services in some Sumy oblast communities. Bilopillia, Buryn, Krasnopillia, Lypova Dolyna, Putyvl, Seredyna-Buda, Trostianets, Velika Pysarivska and Yampil departments transfer their powers to other sectors.

Chernihiv oblast

The russian army continues shelling the Chernihiv border. Mortar shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Mkhy, Zaliznyi Mist and the territory near the village of Bleshnya (Semenivka community). Previously, there were no victims or destruction.

Demining of the territory of the oblast continues. According to the State Emergency Service in the Chernihiv Region, pyrotechnic and underwater demining teams removed 204 explosive objects during the day. Since the beginning of hostilities, 31 585 EOs have been neutralized.

In Chernihiv oblast, the damaged infrastructure is being restored: installation of windows in the Chernihiv Regional Hospital, the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine, the Regional Children’s Hospital, as well as in the Chernihiv City Hospital # 3. The road service carries out highway restoration on priority traffic directions.

Defenders of Chernihiv supported children with special needs. Servicemen of one of the battalions of the “North” operational command handed over food kits for the students of the city’s educational and rehabilitation center.

Vinnytsia oblast

A 34-year-old foreigner helping men of draft age to go abroad for 5K dollars was detained in Vinnytsia oblast.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the morning, the enemy fired 7 rockets at Dnipropetrovsk oblast. 6 of them were shot down over Dnipro and Synelnykivsky district. One rocket hit the private sector in the city of Pokrov. Several houses were destroyed.

During the day, the enemy shelled Kryvorizky district. The territory of an agricultural enterprise in Velyka Kostromka came under fire. The building of the grain warehouse was damaged, the enemy fire caused ignition. There are no casualties.

The occupiers shelled the border areas of Zelenodolsk. There are no casualties or damage.

In Dnipro, volunteers conducted an action in support of the people of Kherson. They launched a balloon with the Kherson coat of arms and the inscription “Kherson is Ukraine” into the sky.

Kirovohrad oblast

A representative office of the Red Cross was opened in the village of Novoarkhangelsk in the Kirovohrad region. It was temporarily arranged in the former premises of the village council, where displaced persons are welcomed and provided assistance. According to the Kirovohrad City Council, 82 160 displaced persons are registered in the Kirovohrad region.

In June, employees of the Disease Control and Prevention Center of the region transferred 125K hryvnias to the account of the National Bank of Ukraine to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Poltava oblast

The list of categories of citizens who have the right to apply for financial assistance to the Poltava Regional Council has been expanded. From now on, this category includes wounded or maimed defenders of Ukraine, family members of killed defenders and registered IDPs.

A memorandum on cooperation with the Italian humanitarian organization InterSOS was signed in Poltava Oblast. Mobile brigades for medical and psychological assistance for displaced persons are to be created.

Cherkasy oblast

Restrictions due to martial law were imposed on reservoirs in Cherkasy region. Navigation was prohibited for small, motorized, leisure, sailing, sports vessels, as well as jet skis and other means of entertainment on the water.

4 washing machines were donated by the Cherkasy “Red Cross” to local children. They were delivered to specialized schools, a shelter and an orphanage.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation in proximity of Zaporizhzhia has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. The enemy has shelled Ukrainian defenders’ positions 46 times using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRSs along the entire contact line.

According to the National Police, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Stepnohisrk, Temyrivka and Uspenivka. There were 45 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces.

During the day, 1 086 people, including 263 children, were evacuated.

The SBU announced suspicion to a collaborator who agreed to become “the head of the military-civilian administration of the Melitopol district.” A member of the Melitopol District Council from Opposition Platform – For Life party defected to the side of the enemy. He faces severe punishment up to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Zaporizhzhia farmers have started harvesting under the conditions of martial law, Zaporizhzhia RMA reports. The expected amount of grain and leguminous crop harvest on the Ukraine-controlled territory of the region will be 730K tonnes. Zaporizhzhia oblast will be fully supplied with food grains.

The russians are transferring Rosatom personnel to work at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is now under their control. Most of the workers of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant refuse to cooperate with the occupiers.

Mykolaiv oblast

Massive shelling once again was launched on Mykolayiv oblast. Military and civilian infrastructure objects were hit, fires broke out. The enemy shell hit near the school, the building was damaged by the shock wave in the village of Lymany.

Russian troops launched six rockets on the city of Bashtanka. Three of them were shot down. Others hit the village administration building and the cheese factory. There are no casualties.

In the morning, the occupiers launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv. Due to shelling, residential buildings were damaged. Some residents received minor injuries.

The Ingulsk community was also shelled, the Mykolaiv RMA reports. The shelling was mainly outside the borders of populated areas. There are no victims.

Shelling of villages along the contact line continues in the Bereznehuvatska community. Information on casualties and damage is being clarified.

The enemy launched an artillery attack on Kotliareve. Residential buildings, cars and a shop were damaged as a result of enemy shelling. There are victims, Mykolaiv oblast police  informs.

From Tuesday, July 5, the curfew time will change on the territory of Mykolaiv oblast. It will last from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the Mykolaiv RMA reports.

Odesa oblast

The naval group of enemy forces in the Black Sea consists of 4 surface and 2 underwater missile carriers. The ships are armed with 40 cruise missiles. This is reported by the South Operational Command.

​​The Odesa RMA states that an amphibious operation to capture Odesa is currently impossible for the russian army. They do not have resources and capabilities to do so.

At noon, the enemy attacked the port infrastructure of Ochakiv and Chornomorsk with X-59 missiles. The Ukrainian air defense eliminated all 3 missiles over the sea.

Beaches in Odesa oblast will not be opened due to mine danger, the Odesa RMA reported.

Kherson oblast

At night, a counterattack by a reinforced enemy platoon was repulsed in the Lozove area in Kherson oblast. This is reported by the South Operational Command. The enemy suffered losses and retreated.

A pair of Ukrainian helicopters launched an airstrike on the enemy to the northwest of Pravdyne. Rocket and artillery units also destroyed the enemy’s warehouse of fuel and lubricants in Kherson oblast.

30 occupiers, a T-62 tank, a rocket salvo-fire system “Uragan”, a howitzer “Msta-B”, 8 units of automobile equipment and 2 ammunition depots were eliminated.

The police of Kherson oblast have opened a criminal investigation into the shelling of Novovorontsovka by the russian army. As a result of shelling from volley fire systems, a school was destroyed, houses of local residents and other infrastructure objects were damaged.

The russian military wants to connect operating wind power plants of the region with a capacity of 550 megawatts to the Crimea. Most of them are located in the temporarily occupied territory, workers do not have access to the turbines.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus is guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

Volyn

Since the beginning of the war, Volyn has welcomed almost 70K internally displaced persons. It is possible to additionally accommodate over 4K people. 40K seats have been reserved.

From June 27 to July 2, Volyn sent 8.5 tons of cargo to the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and medical facilities serving army personnel. All cargoes have arrived at their destinations.

Lutsk IT company DevBranch presented a Starlink satellite communication device to local volunteers.

Last weekend, the Department of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth, together with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, hosted the event during which they distributed food and backpacks filled with essential items to the families of internally displaced persons.

Zakarpattia oblast

With the help of one of the branches of the United Nations – the United Nations World Food Program, 9 trucks with humanitarian aid were sent to Zakarpattia. This is almost 10 700 grocery sets.

Implementing the project “Strengthening resilience of communities – phase II”, UNDP in Ukraine, in partnership with the RMA and with the financial support of the Government of Great Britain, provided the volunteer centers of Zakarpattia oblast with necessary computer equipment.

Foreign partners allocated over 40 million dollars to over 200K forced migrants who found refuge in Zakarpattia. Financial aid was rendered by the UNHCR, the International Organization for Migration and the UN World Food Program. 157K people have already received financial support, and another 52K applications are being processed.

The Hungarian city of Zagon donated humanitarian aid to the Uzhhorod City Children’s Hospital: things for caring for children, baby food, hygiene products for children and mothers, etc.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The issue of providing assistance to internally displaced people and regions of Ukraine was discussed by representatives of the regional state administration and humanitarian partners working in Prykarpattia to solve humanitarian issues. 140 206 people have the status of IDPs, 5 400 of them found shelter in general secondary education institutions and dormitories of vocational and technical education institutions and universities.

Lviv oblast

170 people arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv. The number of officially registered internally displaced persons in the oblast is about 243K, 75K of which are children.

The LRMA Department of Education and Science sent over 450 children from “hot” spots of Ukraine to rest and rehabilitate.

Head of the Lviv RMA Maksym Kozytsky reported that budgetary institutions of Lviv oblast, accepting internally displaced persons for free, will receive compensation. Almost UAH 67 million will be spent on this from the state budget.

The Eighth Appeal Administrative Court of Lviv banned the communist party of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

Pharmaceutical institutions of Rivne oblast handed over UAH 2 million worth of medicines to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

Volunteers of Vyzhnychyna sent food packages to displaced persons living in neighboring areas. Three cars with water, food, medical and hygiene products were sent to defenders in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

International support

The Australian government has announced cancellation of import duties from Ukraine.

Head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, says that the EU intends to create a platform for coordination of actions regarding restoration of Ukraine after the war with the russian federation. The platform aims to determine the scale of losses and needs of Ukraine, as well as the scope of aid that the European Union can provide to the country.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces that Scotland and Wales will allocate 100 million pounds for military support to Ukraine and accept 9K evacuated citizens.

Prime Minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson came to Ukraine. She visited Bucha and Borodyanka and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Prime Minister of Sweden handed the President of Ukraine a copy of the historical document on Sweden’s recognition of Zaporozhzhia Sich as an independent state. The document is dated 1711.

The United Kingdom introduces additional sanctions against belarus. The bans will apply to the sale of refined products and luxury items.

For the first time, the Ukrainian column joined the US Independence Day parade in Washington.

Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov announced that Viber donated over 8.7 million dollars to help Ukraine.

New combat armored vehicles have been sold to volunteers in Ukraine for the first time: eleven Italian-made  SHIELD MLSs will soon be delivered to our assault troops.

A sculpture named “Wreath” was installed in the center of Prague. It is dedicated to Ukrainian mothers who suffered from the russian military invasion. This sculpture is made of thin galvanized chain link mesh and is suspended several meters in the air.
