Ukraine briefly:

It has been the 126th day of Ukraine’s heroic resistance to the russian invasion.

 

During today’s large-scale exchange of prisoners of war, Ukraine released 144 defenders from russian captivity, including 95 Azovstal defenders. This is reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

Here is the operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, as part of training, the military commissariats of the republic of belarus are inspecting the assigned personnel and potential mobilization on the territory of certain regions.

Towards Siversk, the enemy continues enhanced monitoring of the section of the Ukrainian-russian border. In addition, the aggressor shelled civilian and military infrastructure in settlements of Luhivka and Turia, Sumy region. There was an airstrike on the settlement of Uhroidy.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy shelled Bazaliivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv, Pryshyb,  Ruska Lozova, Shestakove, Verkhniy Saltiv and Zamulivka with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy regroups and keeps previously occupied positions. Shelling was recorded in settlements of Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Dovhenke, Hrushuvakha and Mykilske. The invaders also launched an airstrike near Husarivka.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy, supported with artillery, is trying to block Lysychansk and establish control of the section of the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. Civilian and military infrastructure was shelled in the areas of Lysychansk, Verkhniokamianka, Siversk. There was an airstrike on the area of the Lysychansk oil refinery. To support offensive actions, sabotage and reconnaissance groups operated in proximity of Verkhniokamianka. Ukrainian soldiers detected and liquidated them. The remains of the SRG occupiers withdrew.

Towards Kramatorsk, no active hostilities occured. The area of Tatianivka was shelled with artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy shelled positions of our troops with artillery of various calibers near Klynove, Rozdolivka, Vyimka and Ivano-Darivka. There was an airstrike near the village of Vidrodzhennia. Trying to improve the tactical position in the area of Spirne, the enemy did not succeed and withdrew. The hostile sabotage and reconnaissance group was liquidated near Berestove.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled our positions with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Avdiivka,  Bilohiria, Hulyaypilske, Inzhenerne, Olkhivske, Pavlivka, Preobrazhenka and Vesele. In addition, trussian invaders carried out airstrikes on civilian infrastructure near Orikhiv and Shcherbaky.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy carried out systematic shelling of civilian and military infrastructure using barrel and rocket artillery and regrouping troops.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, the occupation authorities continue implementing the administrative and police regime accompanied by collection of personal data of local residents, forced passportization and ban of people’s departure to the Ukrainian-controlled territory.

Some russian units of armed forces are not capable of staffing their units in a timely manner due to personnel’s reluctance to participate in the war.

Our units continue carrying out rocket and artillery tasks in certain directions and defeat the invaders in close battles.

During his visit to Kyiv, Indonesian President Joko Vidodo visited Irpin to see destruction caused by russian troops and met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The leader of Indonesia called for doing everything possible to unblock grain exports from Ukraine and also stressed that his country will take part in restoration of hospitals in Kyiv oblast.

Ukraine has signed the Agreement on the “transport visa-free regime” with the EU, reports the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure. Due to road transport liberalization, Ukrainian carriers won’t have to obtain permits for transportation. It will allow accelerating exports of Ukrainian products through road checkpoints.

Ukrainians without work experience will be taught programming. “IT Generation” project is being launched by the Government of Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the training will be free for people without experience in IT and the profession. In July, Ukrainians aged 21 to 60 will be able to register for training.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders carried out an air strike near Husarivka, Izium region. Not only Kharkiv but also Bazaliivka, Dovhenke, Hrushuvakha, Ivanivka, Pryshyb, Ruska Lozova, Shestakove, Verkhniy Saltiv and Zamulivka are under attack.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the assault and forced the invaders to retreat from Dementiivka, Dovhalivka and ZalymanOur defenders hold their positions, including in the hot Izium direction.

According to the head of the community, Viktor Kovalenko, russian invaders continue shelling Zolochiv community, involving helicopters. Russian troops hit private houses in Ivashky village and a brick factory in Zolochiv. There were no casualties.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, russian invaders launched a missile attack on the Mashhidropryvid plant in Slobidskyy district, Kharkiv on the evening of June 28. There were no casualties. About 100 people lost their jobs. A missile hit destroyed the plant building and about 1K square metres were burned out. The explosion also damaged industrial workshops, with fragments of brick wall dispersed up to 50 metres away. Debris from the metal profile used to cover the roof was thrown onto high voltage lines.

A shell hit near a house in Shevchenkivskyy district was reported to Kharkiv Regional Police Department #3. The explosion created a crater near one of the residential high-rise buildings. Office and administrative buildings and cars were also damaged. There were casualties.

Russian troops shelled two districts of Kharkiv oblast: 1 person was killed and 5 were wounded. According to Regional Military Administration, russian troops shelled Iziumskyy district on the morning of 29 June. 1 man was killed and another woman was injured there. In the afternoon, 4 civilians, including an 11-year-old girl, were injured in Chuhuivskyy district.

The air-raid alert networks in Kharkiv are partially damaged. According to Ivan Sokol, director of the regional Civil Protection Department, no sirens can be heard in Kharkiv Tractor Plant, Microdistrict 602, Novi Budynky, parts of Saltiv residential area and Velyka Danylivka.

Collaborators in the temporarily occupied Shevchenkivskyy district, Kharkiv oblast, damaged a monument to ATO heroes and are discussing its dismantling. The issue was raised by Andriy Stryzhko, known locally as “Cossack Vakula”, suspected of public outrage against state symbols.

Donetsk oblast

The enemy is regrouping its forces and holding previously occupied positions. Main efforts are concentrated on storming operations to create conditions for the further offensive on Barvinkove and Sloviansk. The offensive is conducted toward Midna Ruda – Klynove. It has had partial success, fortifying in the northern part of Klynove and Vuhlehirska power station.

The invaders are using small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, Uragan and Grad MLRSs along the entire front line. The region remains without gas and partially without water and electricity.

According to Mariupol mayor’s councillor Andriushchenko, the russian occupation administration in Mariupol will start demolishing residential buildings from 1 July. People are offered to move to a fictitious “manoeuvring housing fund”.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence service, russian invaders collect personal information on those evacuated and remaining in Mariupol. “Administration” accepts applications for damaged (destroyed) property during hostilities – they are forced to write that “property was destroyed by Armed Forces of Ukraine”. If those registered in the flat have left for Ukrainian-controlled territory or abroad (except the russian federation and the republic of belarus), the applicants are interrogated and forced to establish contact with those who left and force them to cooperate. The invaders do not plan to rebuild anything, do not pay monetary compensation and ignore the needs of all those who lost their homes. Water and gas supply issues in the city remain and the situation is unstable.

Luhansk oblast

Fighting continues throughout the settlements of the Lysychansk community. Orcs are now trying to break through our defences, but fail. Shelling continues continuously and the destruction is catastrophic. The russians sent two battalion-tactical groups of heavy equipment to Lysychansk alone. In addition, the orcs have a quantitative advantage in both personnel and equipment, but our defenders will win in the skill of combat. The Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway is not surrounded, but it is not possible to pass through due to shelling.

The main efforts of the enemy in Luhansk oblast are concentrated on fighting toward Lysychansk to surround the last outpost of the oblast. The enemy continues its offensive toward Vovchoiarivka-Verkhnokamianka and is shelling all remaining settlements.

Lysychansk is under heavy shelling and fully mined. Every day the city burns. Residential areas are significantly destroyed. Yesterday, Regional Military Administration was able to bring humanitarian cargos into the city. Fighting continues in the outskirts. About 15,000 civilians are staying in the city. The evacuation continues.

Near occupied Severodonetsk, rashists keep shelling all destroyed bridges leading to the city, the orcs are afraid of Ukrainian defenders’ by return. People in the occupied regional centre are already suffering under the “rashist regime”: massive looting of the local property began.

According to Enerhoatom’s press service, russian occupation troops destroyed Severodonetsk CHP.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

The president of Indonesia Joko Widodo and his wife Iriana visited the liberated Kyiv oblast. They went to the town of Irpin which suffered from russian military aggression.

The head of Virgin Galactic, billionaire Richard Branson visited Hostomel, reported the village military administration. He was interested in the airfield of Antonov Company and possibilities of its reconstruction. The guest was shown the existing projects of the airfield reconstruction.

A Memorandum on becoming twin cities was signed between Kyiv and Madrid. Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klytschko thanked Spanish partners for their support of Ukraine during this difficult time. Today Madrid welcomes refugees from Ukraine and provides humanitarian aid to Kyiv and the entire country.

The State Emergency Service informs that inspection and clearance of explosive objects continue in the liberated settlements and territories.

Rescuers and National Police officers were demining the lake Tsentralne. The State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast reported that after inspection the divers retrieved high-caliber ordnance, as well as 120 mm and 80 mm mines from the water.

As reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a bridge over the Irpin River was destroyed today in the Vyshhorod district, near the village of Demydiv. According to preliminary information, one person was killed and two injured. The injured are receiving qualified medical assistance. Rescuers and emergency services are working at the scene. The investigation is underway to find out the causes of the incident.

Twelve enterprises have moved to Kyiv oblast from regions with ongoing hostilities. The regional military administration informed that another 40 consider their premises relocation. The relocated businesses specialize in metal processing, sales of construction materials, production of asphalt concrete, bituminous emulsion, etc.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, a court issued a sentence for a Ukrainian language teacher who justified the actions of the russian Armed Forces and convinced her colleagues that the stories from Bucha were “staged”. The court deprived her of the right to hold positions related to the functions of the state and local government for 10 years.

Work continues in Zhytomyr oblast to restore facilities that were damaged due to russia’s aggressive actions. The regional military administration informed that 163 objects have been restored, of which 43 were restored using state funds and 120 using community funds. A total of 2 480 objects on the territory of the Zhytomyr region were partially damaged and 177 were completely destroyed.

Sumy oblast

According to the SBGS, russian troops have been shelling the border all day. The enemy used artillery, combat aircraft, UAVs, MLRS, mortars and automatic grenade launchers.

The enemy carried out air strikes from helicopters with unguided missiles on the Krasnopillya community, and also used strike drones to drop explosive devices on the Velyka Pysarivka  community.

In the Krasnopillya and Myropillya communities, the enemy used canon and jet artillery, fired from automatic grenade launchers. In total, about fifty “Grad” MLRS rockets and more than a hundred artillery pieces of ammunition arrived. The Velyka Pysarivka community was also shelled with grenade launchers. 40 explosions were recorded.

According to the SBGS, in Sumy oblast, border guards shot down an enemy assault drone with an explosive. The drone left behind nothing but large crater.

According to the regional military administration,5 640 explosive devices have been neutralized in Sumy oblast since the beginning of the war. Every day, 5 ICRR pyrotechnic teams are involved in demining. During this time, the area of more than 1 million hectares has already been surveyed.

In the Krasnopillya community, work is underway to inspect buildings and structures damaged due the military aggression by the russian federation. About 180 survey reports have been drawn up on 30 administrative buildings and 150 residential buildings of the community’s residents. The administrative building, Mezenivka educational complex, the Palace of Culture, as well as residential buildings of the community residents were significantly damaged.

Chernihiv oblast

Border guards recorded about 90 mine explosions and several cases of machine gun fire near the border settlements of the Mena, Semenivka and Snovsk communities in the Chernihiv oblast.

Demining of the region’s territory continues. According to the State Emergency Service in Chernihiv Oblast, underwater demining and pyrotechnic works teams were involved in the disposal of explosive objects (EO) 26 times. They found and seized 413 such items. A total of 30 343 EOs have been removed since the beginning of hostilities.

The damaged infrastructure is being restored in Chernihiv oblast. New windows and doors have been installed in the regional center for emergency medical care and disaster medicine; work continues in the Chernihiv Regional Hospital, the Regional Blood Center and the Regional Psychoneurological Hospital; highways on major traffic directions are being restored.

Central regions

Vinnytsia oblast

“Faine misto” festival announced a charity musical performance in Vinnytsia. The event will held in July in the shelter. All rules of martial law will be observed. All funds collected on the festival will be used for the needs of the regiment “Azov”. “Faine Misto” has already held similar events in Ternopil and Lviv. 900K UAH was already raised for the needs of the regiment.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko informed that after the enemy struck with missiles, under the rubble of the motor transport enterprise building, rescuers found killed a man and woman, in Dnipro. 7 people were injured, one of them is a 6-year-old boy, who was hit by glass from a broken window.

It was not quiet again in Kryvyi Rih district. The enemy shelled the Zelenodolsk and Shyrokiv communities. There are no victims. Power line was damaged in Velyka Kostromka.

In Dnipro, deputies decided to rename 21 streets, whose names are associated with russia, at a session of the City Council. Streets will be renamed to Azovstal, Volnovakha, Heroiv Riatuvalnykiv etc.

Before the beginning of the school year, schools in Dnipropetrovsk region shelters in the schools will be inspected. Currently, 125 schools out 834 have shelters in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Poltava oblast

Financial aid will be provided to the families of victims and injured people in Kremenchuk mall.”Killed people will be buried using the community budget”, – said the head of the Kremenchug community Vitaliy Maletsky. The head of the military Poltava Regional administration Dmytro Lunin instructed a safety inspection in all Poltava region malls.

Some communities of Poltava region have already started ordering repairs and construction works for organization shelters in educational institutions, because, depending on the situation, offline learning will be possible only in properly equipped institutions.

It is forbidden to sell and use pyrotechnic devices, such as light, noise, signaling devices, smoke bombs, pyrocartridges, firecrackers, sparklers, salutes, crackers, explosive packages, etc. in Poltava. Also driving cars, motorcycles and scooters that have exhaust systems without noise absorbers are forbidden. Poltava City Council informed that he reason behind this is that the residents of the community live in a state of constant emotional tension and react sharply to all sounds similar explosions and air strikes.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation has not changed significantly. The enemy is conducting a positional defense, preparing settlements for an all-round defense, setting up strongholds on the main road directions.

The enemy carried out 52 shellings of the positions of Ukrainian defenders using artillery and MLRS along the entire contact line.

According to the Zaporizhzhia Main Regional Department of the National Police, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Huliaipole and Orikhiv. There were 20 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces. There are injured civilian people.

During the day 1 676 people, including 476 children, were evacuated.

During the war, more than 370 cases of kidnapping were recorded. About 150 people continue to be held hostage, others have been released. It was reported by Zaporozhzhia RMA.

As of today 21 157 consumers in 79 settlements of Zaporizhzhia Oblast are left without power supply.

Electricians restored power supply to 2 641 families in Orikhiv district.

The main gas pipeline with a diameter of 400 mm was damaged as a result of shelling by the russian military near the village of Myrne in Polohy district. Consumers in Orikhiv district are already without gas supply. The cities of Dniprorudne, Energodar, MelitopolVasylivka and other settlements of Vasylivka and Melitopol districts will be left without gas in the coming days as a result of this damage.

According to the available information, 81 011 consumers in 109 settlements of the region do not have gas supply.

Active preparations for the new school year 2022-2023 are underway in Zaporizhzhia. Currentlly educational institutions work on equipping the premises for the safe stay of children there. From September 1, the city plans to introduce a mixed form of education. Online training will resume in the occupied territories.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the South Operational Command, the morning the russian occupiers struck massive missile and artillery attack across Mykolaiv Oblast

Russian troops fired more than ten rockets at Mykolaiv and its suburbs. Recreation center, the apartment house, and garage cooperative were hit. The work of rescuers continues. It is currently known about 5 dead and 2 wounded. The information is being clarified.

The enemy fired on Bereznehuvatska, Halytsynivska, Shevchenkivska and Shirokivska communities. Mainly roads, agricultural areas and lands were hit. Fields with crops and an empty grain warehouse caught on fire.

Russian troops attacked Mykolayiv and nine settlements of the region. The town of Ochakiv and the villages of Halytsynove, Kotlyareve, Lotskyne, Mishkovo-Pohorilove, Pervomaiske, Sokolivka, Solonchaky and Zaichevske were affected. The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast reports about it. The police recorded 55 damaged objects. Two people, including a 6-year-old child, were killed in the shelling of Ochakiv. Six people were injured, including 4 children – a three-month-old baby, a one-year-old child and children aged 13 and 16 years.

79th Air Assault Brigad based in Mykolayiv, received the honorary award “For Bravery and Courage” according to the decree of the President of Ukraine.

Odesa oblast

At night, russian troops launched airstrike twice on Odesa oblast. The air defense forces eliminated the Onyx missile over the sea. And the X-59 missile hit the Danube shoreline.

In the northwestern part of the Black Sea, a ship group of the russian federation’s Black Sea Fleet continues to block naval communications and conduct reconnaissance. Three carriers of naval-based cruise missiles of the “Caliber” type are ready for atack.

The use and sale of fireworks, salutes and firecrackers, as well as the movement of vehicles that produce excessive noise levels are prohibited in Odesa and Odesa Oblast. This ban is valid until the abolition of martial law or until a separate order is issued.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the occupied communities of Kherson oblast is tense. In many settlements, locals talk about the rotation of the russian army. New occupiers are settling in the houses whose owners have left. Looting and kidnappings continue.

The resistance movement makes collaborators nervous. On the Constitution Day of Ukraine, all the streets of Kherson were filled with motivational posters, graffiti, yellow and blue ribbons.

Novovorontsov community will suspend the supply of drinking water until July 11. This decision was made due to the constant risk to the lives of communal workers who carried out repair work under fire from the russian military.

On June 29 the so-called head of the “military-civil administration”, collaborator Volodymyr Saldo introduced a new ruble exchange rate in Kherson Oblast. Now the exchange rate is 1.5 russian rubles for 1 hryvnia.

The “chairman of the commission” of a pseudo-referendum, appointed by the occupiers  in Kherson oblast, was informed about the suspicion. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

36K people left Ukraine across the western border, while 38K citizens returned.

Chernivtsi oblast

The mayors of Chernivtsi and Mannheim, Roman Klichuk and Peter Kurz, signed a twinning agreement. From February 24, the city of Mannheim sent 40 tons of humanitarian aid worth over 100K euros to Chernivtsi.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Since the beginning of hostilities in Khmelnytskyi oblast, almost 2K marriages were registered and 1 755 children were born.

Lviv oblast

102 people arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv.

16 868 people crossed the checkpoints in Lviv oblast during the day.

The police processed 1 475 complaints about suspicious people and objects.

Lviv oblast began to build additional engineering and defense networks in preparation for a possible attack by belarus.

A 71-year-old man from Lviv, suspected of correcting russian missile shelling at the Yavoriv landfill, was informed about suspicions of treason. The court chose a precautionary measure in the form of detention without possibility of bail. The rocket attack on the Yavoriv landfill killed 61 people and injured 160 others.

Charity organization “Caritas” Ukraine in Lviv oblast has provided almost 180K services to people affected by the war starting from February 24. A program is currently being planned to provide psychological and emotional support to children who have experienced all the pain of the war. 75K IDP children are officially registered in Lviv oblast.

The Lviv Regional Emergency Medical Center received 2 new ambulances from the WH with a total cost of UAH 2 200 000.

 Ternopil oblast

From 8:00 to 22:00 “Oh, red viburnum in the meadow” is heard from Chortkiv City Hall. The mechanism of the town hall repaired by a specialist from Lviv Oleksiy Burnaev – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Member of the Support Committee of the European Association of Boundary Clocks and Chimes CECH

200 sets of military uniforms were handed over from Ternopil oblast to the Armed Forces.

Volyn

In the evening of June 28, a grenade exploded in Lutsk. Police detained the suspect in a state of intoxication. Investigative actions are underway.

In a day, almost 1 200 trucks crossed the Yahodyn-Dorogusk international checkpoint. This is 400 more cars than usual.

A charity volleyball tournament in support of the Armed Forces took place in Ivanychi where UAH 7 700 was raised. Using the donations collected, a drone is planned to be purchased for the Armed Forces.

Zakarpattia oblast

A working meeting of representatives of the Zakarpattia RMA with representatives of the Slovak Republic took place in Uzhhorod. Optimising checkpoint operations was discussed in light of long lines of cars imported for customs clearance in Ukraine at the Slovak-Ukraine border.
